Employees who are in the rescue chamber are not in direct danger, Boliden's Communications Director Klas Nilsson told TT earlier this morning.
Rescue services and ambulances, including an air ambulance, were called to the scene. According to Klas Nilsson, the fire started in a ventilation duct in the ceiling, but the cause is still unclear.
