A large number of units from the rescue service are on site in Hjärup, north of Malmö, to extinguish a fire that broke out on Monday evening and quickly spread from an apartment in a two-story building to the property's attic.
"The whole row of houses is on fire. We are on site with a large number of units and are now working to limit the fire, both sideways and downwards," says Patric Nilsson, duty officer at the rescue service.
"We will be there all night," he says.
The apartment building has been evacuated and the emergency services are working to find a location where the residents can gather.
"There are no reports of injuries," says Patric Nilsson.
