The alarm came at 7:18 p.m.
"It is a fully developed fire in an apartment building. Flames have been shooting out of windows and the roof. The fire that came from the roof has been brought under control and is now out. We are still working to put out the fire inside the apartments," says Rebecka Blad, command operator at the rescue service.
The building that is burning has two floors and three apartments.
It has been determined that there is a risk of spread, which is why external extinguishing has begun to reduce the risk, says Blad.
The police have opened a preliminary investigation into suspected arson. A 35-year-old man has been arrested.
"Initial investigative measures are being taken, such as collecting any witness information and sealing off the scene for later examination by police technicians," the police write on their website.
No one has been injured.
