A fire broke out early in the morning in a cable at the construction of Västlänken in Kallebäck in Gothenburg and caused heavy smoke development. The police have filed a report on vandalism, but there is no suspect at present.
The alarm about the fire came in early on Monday morning and the rescue service that rushed out could quickly extinguish the fire.
The fire started under a bridge next to E6, says Lars Jostelius, alarm and control operator at the rescue service in Storgöteborg, to TT. The reason behind the fire is still unclear, but it did not spread over E6.
The fire is now extinguished and caused no damage and no stops in traffic, says Lars Jostelius.
Initially, four of the rescue service's vehicles were alerted to the scene.
