The rescue service was called to the scene at half past one, during the night towards Wednesday.
We are there with multiple units and will continue for several hours to come, says Sääf at 03:00.
The fire concerns a five-six meter high waste heap with hundreds of tons of plastic and paper burning.
We won't be able to extinguish it, but what you usually do is to cool down the surrounding area and then remove the material, but right now it's too hot to do that.
No one is reported injured and no important message to the public has been sent out, since the smoke is rising straight up and therefore does not affect nearby communities or roads.
Right now, it doesn't seem to be any major risk of spreading to the forest or to other waste heaps, but we are monitoring it, says Ludvig Sääf.
