The fire broke out during the night, reports Nya Wermlands-Tidningen.
According to the press officer at Engelska skolan, a smaller building containing a workshop has burned down.
The school consists of six additional buildings, including the main building, and at 10 am on Thursday, SOS Alarm said that the fire had spread to another building.
However, this was later denied and according to the rescue service, the fire is under control at lunchtime.
There are no reports of any personal injuries.
