The fire that broke out at lunchtime at the Opera House in Oslo is now extinguished, reports Norwegian media. The building was evacuated and one person has inhaled smoke and suffered burns to their hands.

The fire broke out just before 1 pm. The fire brigade arrived a short time later.

There is a fire there. It is not large in scope but a lot of smoke. We have arrived with two fire trucks, and three more are on their way, said Eirik Fredriksen at the rescue service to NTB.

People on the scene tried to extinguish the fire, which probably started in connection with the use of a heat gun in the painting workshop.
