Fire at Fotografiska in Stockholm

A fire broke out at the Fotografiska museum on Södermalm in Stockholm on Saturday evening. The museum was evacuated and the fire was quickly extinguished.

The fire alarm was raised at 7:50 p.m. Less than half an hour later, the police announced that it had been extinguished.

About a hundred visitors were inside, and they were evacuated, police spokesperson Rebecca Landberg told TT.

There are no reports of injuries. According to initial information, a cable in the ceiling caught fire.

The police have opened a preliminary investigation into negligence causing public danger.
