Finnish referee disappointment as two Canadians officiate men's Olympic ice hockey semifinal loss to Canada

"It's not exactly ideal to have two Canadian referees in an international match - it's not usually like that at the World Cup. They wouldn't have wanted Finnish referees, but we shouldn't blame the loss on that even though it's strange," Finland's assistant captain Mikko Rantanen told SVT.

With 2 minutes 35 seconds left in the game, Finland was penalized. That penalty cost the "Lions" the game. Canada's Nathan MacKinnon scored the decisive 3–2 goal in the ensuing power play.

They get a bit of a cheap sending off, but it's the referees' job to decide on such things, Finland's Anton Lundell told Yle.
