Finnish Aviation Union Announces Ground Handling Strike at Helsinki Airport - Finnair Flights May Be Disrupted

The Finnish Aviation Union (IAU) has announced an industrial action (strike) targeting ground handling at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport on May 30, June 2 and June 4 2025.

Finnair said the strike could potentially disrupt its flights and that it is “currently closely assessing the impact.”

Individual customer guidance email sent… Itinerary changes possible
Finnair sent the following email to customers:

This situation may affect your flight itinerary, and we are doing our best to ensure a smooth travel experience. If you wish, you can change your travel date up until the departure date. However, if you have issued your ticket through a third party (travel agency, etc.), please contact the issuing office directly.
– Finnair Customer Service, from the email sent on May 26, 2025

Finnair offers the option to flexibly change your travel date until the day of departure via the customer service center. However, if you purchased your ticket from a sales agent other than Finnair, you must contact the ticketing office directly.
