The Finnish airline Finnair cancels around 50 flights at Helsinki Airport on Monday, June 2, the company announces in a press release. The reason is the strike with pinpoint effects carried out by the Finnish Air Transport Workers' Union IAU.

Several flights were also canceled on Friday, and a similar strike was also carried out earlier in May.

Around 3,600 passengers are affected by the canceled departures. According to Finnair, the affected customers will be offered alternative flights.

Since the strike includes baggage handling, the airline urges all travelers to be at the airport in good time and advises travelers to pack important items such as medication in their hand luggage.
