If the US's policy towards Russia and Ukraine is not in Europe's interest, a separate dialogue with Moscow is needed, according to Stubb.
We have discussed, in the circle of European leaders, who should make contact, but we don't know yet.
Stubb particularly highlights the importance of coordination between major EU countries, Germany, France, Italy and Poland, as well as the United Kingdom and the Nordic and Baltic countries, several of which border Russia.
Whether it is a special envoy or a group of leaders remains to be seen.
