Finland's government has submitted a proposal to the parliament on amending the law on the state's television and radio fund. The change would mean that the index that annually increases the financing of the public service company Yle would be frozen.

If the proposal becomes a reality, it would mean that the allocations between 2025-2027 would remain unchanged. Without the proposed amendment, Yle's allocations would have increased by approximately 16 million euros next year, 31 million the following year, and 47 million in 2027.
