Finland signs a UN declaration on a peaceful solution to the Gaza war and a two-state solution to the conflict.

The declaration is a result of an international conference in July that Saudi Arabia and France hosted. The US and Israel boycotted the conference, reports Reuters.

”The process led by France and Saudi Arabia is the most significant international attempt in years to create conditions for a two-state solution”, writes Finland's Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen on X.

Saudi Arabia and France have urged countries to adopt the declaration. Finland has not recognized Palestine as a state.
