The Andes virus is behind the high-profile outbreak of disease on board the cruise ship Hondius, in which three people have died, two of whom had confirmed infections.
In Finland, the change means that people who have been exposed to the virus can be quarantined to prevent the spread of infection. The government made the decision, writes Swedish Yle.
The change is a precautionary measure to be prepared should the situation develop in an unfavorable direction, says Sanni Grahn-Laasonen, Minister of Social Security, according to Hufvudstadsbladet.
