It leads Sweden in the wrong direction, says Svantesson at a press conference where she strikes down on what she thinks is wrong with the Social Democrats', the Left Party's, the Green party's and the Center Party's response to the government's and the Sweden Democrats' budget proposal for next year.
– One, it is very scattered. Two, you wonder what the red-green side, the left experiment, will do, says the Minister of Finance.
Higher taxes and higher benefits, or more to aid will not take Sweden in the right direction, she comments with a reference to S, V and the Green party.
The S proposal to abolish the deduction for the first sick day claims she will cost tens of billions, without specifying it further.
It is ultimately the hardworking people who will have to pay for this, says Svantesson and talks about it being the nurse, the bus driver or the machine operator who gets to pull a heavier load when colleagues do not come because the deduction has been removed.
