Eleven years after the Japanese role-playing game maker first revealed that 1997's "Final Fantasy VII" would be remade, a release date for the third and final instalment has now been set.
On April 8, the saga will conclude as "Final Fantasy VII Revelation" appears on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2 and PC.
An open world, a partially rebuilt combat system and a grappling hook are promised.
The first part of the trilogy, "Remake", was released in 2020 and the sequel "Rebirth" came out in 2024.
