In his seventh NHL match in his ice hockey career, the first goal came. Forward Filip Hållander scored the decisive goal for Pittsburgh when it became a 4–2 win away against Los Angeles.

It is the third time that Hållander tests his luck in Pittsburgh. The first two seasons (2021–2023) resulted in only three matches in total in NHL and most games in the farm club in AHL.

After two consecutive SHL seasons at home in Timrå, the 25-year-old returned before this season and has now played in four out of five matches.

The first full hit in the NHL career came 6:50 into the third period on a counterattack in a numerical disadvantage to 3–2. Then Hållander could force the puck behind Los Angeles' Swedish goalkeeper Anton Forsberg after a third Swede, Rickard Rakell, had taken double shots without finding the right one.

In the final stage, the superstar Sidney Crosby set 4–2 in an empty net after the home team had taken out Forsberg in the pursuit of a equalizer. Pittsburgh defender Erik Karlsson was credited with two assists.

William Karlsson scored two goals when it became a home win for his Vegas against Boston with 6–5. Karlsson's second goal to 6–3 ultimately became the decisive goal.
