Nashville may be giving and receiving in the NHL, but Filip Forsberg's scoring remains solid. In last night's game against Minnesota, the Olympic-qualified Swede scored to make it 1-2 in the middle period, before playing on until it was 2-3.
The Swede has now scored seven points in the last four games.
Filip Gustavsson, in goal for Minnesota and also selected for the Olympics, had a less-than-stellar night. He allowed five goals for a tepid 85.29% save percentage. His teammate in both Minnesota and the Olympic squad, Jesper Wallstedt, stayed home due to illness.
Minnesota eventually emerged victorious after Jared Spurgeon scored in overtime for a 6-5 win.
The match was the team's last before the Olympic break.
