The more you meet them, the more you notice that it is not so black and white, says Filip Berg.

He plays Tobias, a father who has given up his dreams of becoming a writer to take care of his home and children. When the police arrest Tobias on suspicion of murdering his mistress, his secret life is revealed.

“Doesn’t know the person”

The series is a drama thriller about “how well do you know your partner?” and is reminiscent of “The Undoing” and “Presumed Innocent”. The suspense lies in trying to figure out whether the main character is capable of something terrible. But it also provides insight into the relationship dynamics that led to betrayal and lies.

Imagine one day realizing, “No, but you’ve lived a completely different life.” That would be breathtaking. Truly, “God, I don’t know this person,” says Aliette Opheim.

She plays Malin, the wife who decides to take on the role of Tobias' defence attorney.

At first she is absolutely sure that he has not done this and that she is therefore suitable to take on the case. But then during the journey she begins to have doubts, says Aliette Opheim.

The arrangement is against good legal practice, but not illegal. However, it is a bit strange since Malin has just been cheated on by her husband. But her actions are explained later in the series.

Malin also has a history that makes it not so easy to just leave him, says Filip Berg.

“She makes me better”

Despite the dark relationship dynamics in the script, the filming led to actors Berg and Opheim falling in love, and later becoming a couple in real life.

After knowing each other for 20 years, “the stars aligned.” But the romance was something they kept secret until after filming.

I wanted to work with Aliette constantly because she makes me better. The fact that you love each other and get along is the world's finest and most wonderful bonus, but for work purposes we have "levelled up" five levels, says Filip Berg and is supported by Aliette Opheim.

We see the world a bit the same way, I feel less lonely when I meet someone who notices the things that I notice myself, says Aliette Opheim.

She discusses how "Till Death Do Us Part" was good training for the relationship.

We played married, so we got to try everything out in advance, fight, we've done all that. "We know this is bad," laughs Aliette Opheim.
