Filip Hammars and Fredrik Wikingsson's "The Last Journey" receives the Swedish Film Critics Association's Greta award for the best film of the year.
The director duo dedicates the prize to Filip Hammars' father Lars.
"We are honored and proud, and fully aware that none of this would have happened without Lars Hammar. This prize is of course his", they say in a written comment.
The Swedish Film Critics Association's prize, since 2000 called Greta, is awarded annually and voted on by the association's members. In recent years, it has gone to Mika Gustafson's "Paradise is Burning" (2023) and Tarik Saleh's "Boy from Heaven" (2022).
