The proposal is reportedly worth around $6.35 billion, equivalent to just over 63.1 billion kronor (about $6.0 billion), to be spent between 2027 and 2030. It also includes a $25 million contribution to each national association, $15 million more than previously planned. In addition, the continental associations will receive $99 million.
According to the proposal, the increased compensation is due to the "unparalleled commercial success" of this summer's World Cup and will primarily be used for development and investment in women's and youth football.
According to FIFA, the proposal is expected to be finalised in December so it can be voted on at the FIFA Congress in March - the same congress at which the presidential election will take place.
