In connection with the congress in Vancouver last week, FIFA President Gianni Infantino said that Iran will play its World Cup matches in the United States as planned.
Something which Iran has previously said it does not want to do.
"We will boycott the USA, but not the World Cup," federation chairman Mehdi Taj has said previously.
Iran's delegation failed to arrive in Vancouver after a dispute with Canadian immigration officials.
Upon returning home, Mehdi Taj said he wanted a meeting with FIFA to discuss several issues.
FIFA has now invited the Iranian Football Federation to its headquarters in Zurich by May 20 for talks about the World Cup.
