On Monday, The Times reported that Infantino had tried to call US President Donald Trump to ask for help following recent developments. But Trump has not answered.
On platform X, FIFA's media department responded to the report, writing that Infantino had not called Trump at all.
"The FIFA president has not made any calls to the US President, or to anyone in his administration in recent days. This is fabricated," Fifa wrote in a response to The Times' post on X.
