"The positive development applies to both men and women, native-born and foreign-born, and in all counties, although there are still large variations," writes the Swedish Public Employment Service in a comment on the new monthly statistics.
The changes in recent months are marginal, but over one year there are 22,000 fewer people registered as unemployed, at 344,000 at the end of June. In percentage terms, the share has decreased from 6.9 to 6.4 percent of the workforce.
During the month, 2,857 people were given notice of termination. This is a steady decrease during the spring and clearly fewer than the 4,606 given notice in June last year.
