The number of new applications for unemployment benefits continues to decline. In November, there were 5.6 percent fewer applications than in the last survey in September.

Compared to a year ago, the decrease is even greater. Since November 2024, the number of new applications for unemployment benefits has decreased by 16.1 percent, according to the Unemployment Insurance Fund Indicator from Sweden's unemployment insurance funds.

The unemployment insurance fund indicator measures the number of new applications for unemployment benefits on a monthly basis. The unemployment insurance fund indicator is a measure of developments in the labor market and an indication of the extent to which those who are members of an unemployment insurance fund are seeking support through unemployment insurance.
