BTS, the "kings of K-pop," took a break in 2022 to perform their mandatory military service, which is required of men in South Korea.
When the group made their comeback in Seoul on Saturday, they were greeted by cheering fans. It was estimated that around 260,000 were expected to gather - but significantly fewer showed up.
“An estimated 104,000 fans attended the concert at Gwanghwamun Square, based on ticket sales and data from the country’s three largest mobile operators,” the group’s record label HYBE said.
The police estimated the crowd at around 42,000, Yonhap News Agency reported.
