For the fifth month in a row, Länsförsäkringar's Housing Price Barometer indicates that fewer and fewer people believe in housing prices rising over a one-year period.

In May, the Housing Price Barometer decreased from 39 to 33 percent. The figure indicates the difference between the proportion of households that believe in higher housing prices in a year compared to the proportion that believes in lower housing prices.

"We have a falling temperature on the housing market, where the uncertain global situation has laid itself like a wet blanket over the housing market", says Stefan Westerberg, Länsförsäkringar's private economist in a press release.

The figures behind the barometer show that 40 percent expect a price increase on the housing market, compared to 45 percent the previous month. 7 percent believe that prices will fall, while 47 percent of those surveyed believe that prices will remain steady.
