Felicia has been tipped as the favorite since she was voted in first in this year's second round.
But despite that, she didn't dare believe that she could win the whole Melodifestivalen.
"I really wanted to think anything could happen. I absolutely didn't believe this," she tells TT afterwards.
Felicia topped the charts and the odds ahead of the final, despite being hit with a stubborn cold – during Saturday's rehearsal, she told Gina Dirawi that she had a high fever.
I've had a fever, close to 39 degrees. It's been really hard on my sinuses. Now I have so much adrenaline, so it's working now," she says, and adds with a laugh:
But I will die later.
Norwegian-Danish help
"My system" is a massive number with many dancers and the song has more techno and house vibes than Felicia's previous hits in the epadunk genre when she went under the name Fröken Snusk.
She wrote “My system” herself together with Norwegian songwriters Audun Agnar, Julie Bergan, Emily Harbakk, and Danish songwriter Theresa Rex.
According to Felicia, it is not a typical Melodifestival song.
I think it's one that does better outside of Sweden, she previously told TT.
High fever
The last time she competed as Miss Snusk, in 2024, she advanced to the final qualifying round with the song "Unga & fria", but fell at the finish line and missed the final.
Felicia received the final twelve points from Finland in the international jury and thus came in first place before the public vote.
What were your thoughts before the decision?
I wasn't nervous at all, actually. I felt like I just wanted to take it as it comes. No matter who wins, I'm really happy and really proud that I made it to the final. For the first time in my life!
Greczula, with "Half of me", came in second and Medina, with "Viva l'amor", came in third.
Medina was, under the circumstances, satisfied with a podium finish:
We always want to be there and fight for the top spots, but to be honest I voted us fifth, so I'll take third any day, says Sami Rekik in Medina.
We are so happy for Felicia, she deserves it, she is so talented, you can tell that this song is adapted for Europe too.
