Local media report that the boat capsized in high waves on the stretch between the town of Kariba in northern Zimbabwe and a fishing camp.
There were 90 passengers and five crew members on board. Several people have been rescued. At the same time, police fear that several people may have died in the accident.
Lake Kariba is the world's largest artificial lake in terms of water volume.
