Ferrari’s first electric model sells for $40 million at charity auction

However, at a charity auction in the United States, the car, named Luce, was sold for $40 million, equivalent to almost 380 million kronor, the BBC writes.

The hammer price is thus 35 times higher than what the model is expected to fetch on the regular market, and the proceeds from the auction will be donated to Ferrari's education programme.

The Luce model attracted a lot of attention, mostly negative, when it was launched, primarily because of its design. It is also Ferrari's first five-seater model.
