The 29-year-old from Östergötland was named Player of the Year two years ago and is now being honored again by a jury consisting of the Swedish Handball Association's elite council and national team captain Michael Apelgren.
"It feels great to have your name on that list, twice," says Claar.
In the near future, the nine-meter player is chasing a double with Magdeburg, who currently lead the German league by a wide margin and are through to the Champions League semi-finals.
Previously, the following nine players were named Player of the Year twice: Lennart Eriksson, Bo "Bobban" Andersson, Magnus Wislander, Ola Lindgren, Magnus Andersson, Stefan Lövgren, Martin Boquist, Kim Andersson and Jim Gottfridsson.
