That Schröder did not get a place in Peter Gerhardsson's European Championship squad does not seem to have gotten to her – the goal queen has now scored 16 goals this season in the women's all-Swedish league.
With tonight's win, Häcken is back in the lead in a halting table. The match was Häcken's last before the summer break.
I think we play a really good match and it's great to finish like this. We took advantage of them being one player down. It's a really good match, said Schröder in Viaplay's broadcast after the match.
In the 18th match minute, Schröder scored with a direct shot just outside the penalty area that found its way into the goalkeeper's left corner.
Just before halftime, she safely placed 2–0 on a penalty after Monica Jusu Bah was torn down and Selina Henriksson in Piteå was shown the red card.
Schröder could then complete her hat-trick in the middle of the second half by easily pushing in a cross.
The win means that Häcken leads the table with a two-point lead over Hammarby, who on Sunday will visit Norrköping in the last match before the summer break.
