The plan the club laid out for me felt right and I think I will enjoy the climate, she says to SVT. She has signed a four-year contract.
The Hisingslaget writes in a press release that the transfer is the most expensive in the history of women's football.
The previous most expensive player transfer in women's football was Grace Geyoro's move to London City Lionesses from Paris Saint-Germain for the equivalent of just over 18 million kronor last year.
"It is a historic sale that strengthens both women's football and BK Häcken's position internationally," says Häcken's football director Martin Ericsson in a press release.
Schröder on the record sum to SVT:
It's not something I think about, but it shows that women's football is moving forward.
Schröder signed a senior contract with Häcken in the spring of 2023 and scored in her debut.
Since then she has scored regularly for Häcken. Last year she won the top scorer title with 30 goals as Häcken won the Swedish Championship and she was named the year's most valuable player.
In total, Schröder has scored 91 goals and provided 18 assists in 128 matches for Häcken, which earlier this year also won the new European Cup.
Schröder has so far made eleven senior appearances for Sweden, making her debut in the national team in May last year.
"It has been a privilege to be part of Felicia's start to her elite career, where we have had an incredible journey together, with titles, victories and lots of goals," says Martin Ericsson.
