It was the fourth time in 49 days that Hammarby and Häcken had met. In mid-May, Hammarby won the cup final 1–0 after extra time, but earlier Häcken had won their first European Cup title.
The Hisingen club won the two-legged tie 4–2 on aggregate - after star Felicia Schröder was responsible for all four Häcken goals.
Now the 19-year-old national team striker has once again defeated the Stockholm club. In the 33rd minute, Schröder beautifully slotted in the only goal of the match from long range after Hammarby carelessly lost the ball.
After nine rounds of the Swedish Women's Championship, both teams have 24 points and 13 goals. They will not meet again at Hisingen until October 18.
