This year's round of "Allsång på Skansen" is back on SVT on June 23rd - right in the middle of the World Cup, and Thomas Stenström is a guest on the first program. He is the man behind the official Swedish World Cup song "Leva för attid".
"I'm going to play that song," says Stenström, who also reveals that his sing-along in the program will be Orup's "Then the boys line up."
"And that line is in 'When We're Mining Gold in the USA,' so they've reused it. It's a great song."
The Ronaldo clash
Overall, there will be a lot of football this summer. Two of the programs clash with World Cup matches. Among other things, Pernilla Wahlgren will face competition from Portugal's match against Uzbekistan in the premiere on June 23. So who wins between Pernilla and Ronaldo?
"Unfortunately, I think I'll lose that match," says Pernilla Wahlgren, laughing. "But luckily SVT Play exists."
Sanna Nielsen, Valter Nilsson, Peg Parnevik, The Ark, Oskar Linnros and Lasse Holm are also included in the artist lineup for this summer. But not all names have been announced yet and Pernilla Wahlgren is hoping for the same kind of international attendance as last year when Rick Astley came to Solliden's stage.
"It was so damn good. He was so naughty, and it felt so big to me, since I really love his songs," she says.
More surprises
Also expect more surprises on stage and in the audience.
"I love when there are surprises or when we can suddenly bring in an artist. I think it's fun to be a little spontaneous and do things like that. So there will definitely be some comedy acts."
"Allsång på Skansen" is led by Pernilla Wahlgren for the fourth year in a row. She has not set any time limit for how long she will continue.
"Actually, I haven't, but these four years have gone by very, very quickly. That said, I might be here until I'm 80," she says, laughing.
"But I think it's a lot of fun. As long as there's love between me and SVT and the viewers and the audience, I'll stay."
