IK Sävehof's defense general Felicia Granat, 21, has suffered a cruciate ligament injury and will miss the entire 2025-2026 season, writes Aftonbladet.
– I know how tough months I have ahead of me, but at the same time I get to see it as an opportunity to build myself up, become stronger and take the time to do other things that you normally don't have time for, she says to the newspaper.
Granat was named last season's best defender in the handball league and has been called up to the national team, but is still waiting for her debut there.
Sävehof will start the season on September 24 against Skara HF – a replay of last year's Swedish Championship final.
