She was the favorite from the start – but still, the final spot seemed to come as a shock to the former Miss Nasty.
She says she didn't want to listen to advance speculation but prepared herself until the very end for anything to happen.
It was 50/50. I would either come last or go to the final. The song is really a watershed moment, but it feels really great that it went all the way, she says.
“A revenge”
When her name was called, Felicia couldn't hold back her tears.
"Damn, how embarrassing! You're not allowed to cry on TV," she says, laughing.
But behind the embarrassment and jokes are genuine feelings.
"I was very moved, I'm proud of myself. It was really revenge," she says.
When she participated in Melodifestivalen two years ago, performing as Fröken Snusk in a pink robber's hat, she was eliminated in the final qualifying round. In retrospect, Felicia has been open about battling depression and feeling very bad during the period.
"That I went further this time and that I feel so much better... It feels amazing. It's like validation for me and the music I make," she says.
Wants to see the king on stage
Now it remains to be seen how she will recharge for the final in Stockholm. The song "My system" is a maxed-out techno track with a daring laser show - and Felicia wonders if there is anything she can add.
"So, honestly, if the king came on stage, that would have been awesome," she says and adds:
"It's an incredible song with an incredible number, so there's probably no need to change anything."
