I can report that DNA matches from the towel that was wrapped around the firearm and DNA on the screwdriver have been tested positive for the suspect, says Patel in an interview with Fox News.
Tyler Robinson, 22, was arrested on Thursday for the murder of Charlie Kirk, who was shot at an appearance at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.
The rifle and screwdriver were found in the area after the murder.
Kash Patel also mentions a note that Robinson is believed to have made before the deed, where he expressed that he "had the opportunity" to murder Kirk. The police are said to have only found remains of the note.
Robinson has not confessed to anything and is not cooperating with the authorities, according to Utah's governor Spencer Cox.
