TV star and "Pang i bygget" actress Prunella Scales has died, 93 years old.

According to the sons, reports BBC, she watched episodes of the acclaimed TV series which in the original language is called "Fawlty Towers", which she is most known for, the day before her death.

In the series, Scales plays Sybil, the determined wife of hotel owner Basil Fawlty, played by John Cleese.

Cleese and Scales made the series a world hit. This year, it is 50 years since the first episode of the series about the eccentric, short-tempered and choleric hotel owner Basil and Sybil and their hotel "Fawlty Towers" with its unsuspecting guests began to be broadcast. A large part of the success also had, not least, Andrew Sachs who played the Catalan waiter Manuel.

Prunella Scales was forced to interrupt her career in 2013 when she was diagnosed with vascular dementia. She was also nominated for a prize in 1991 for her role as Queen Elizabeth in a TV version of a play about the monarch. Last year, her husband Timothy West, also an actor, died.
