Vaccines that were stored incorrectly and distributed in a vaccine bus in Dalarna in the spring of 2022 may have been ineffective, reports P4 Dalarna.

One of Sweden's largest healthcare companies, Doktor.se, stored the vaccine given in the vaccine bus in Dalarna in trash bags and in refrigerators without temperature measurement – despite strict handling requirements.

This is a complete disaster, says nurse Lars Dotzsky who worked in the vaccine bus and raised the alarm about the malconditions.

Primarily, the malconditions concerned TBE vaccine. Approximately over 100 people may have received vaccine with lost effect.

Martin Lindman, CEO of Doktor.se, views the incident seriously but does not see that patients can have been affected.

After the alarm, 900 doses of vaccine were discarded and the bus stopped running.
