In the letter, he writes that he wants to meet face to face and get answers to “how you only give 12 months for a murder,” reports P4 Jönköping, which has seen the letter.
“So, Mette Frederiksen, I am waiting for you and for a response from your office,” the father writes in the letter, and continues:
“Waiting for you to have the courage to come back.”
The man who delivered the fatal punch was sentenced to one year in prison. However, he was not convicted of murder but of a lesser violent crime and thus received a lighter sentence.
Danish politicians have criticized the sentence, which they believe is unacceptably low.
