Shock and anger. This is how the father of one of Marius Borg Høiby's alleged victims describes the time after the suspected rape of his daughter was discovered.

The father is clearly angry in the courtroom in Oslo, where the trial of Høiby - son of the Crown Princess of Norway - is entering its ninth day. He repeatedly stares at the “bonus prince”, who is accused of raping his daughter.

I am a father, simply put. If Marius becomes a father one day, he will surely feel the same way about his children.

According to prosecutors, 29-year-old Høiby raped the father's daughter in 2024, while she was sleeping. Høiby denies it.

The matter came to light after the police found pictures and videos on Høiby's phone. The father is testifying about the period after his daughter was called in for questioning.

She was in shock.

There were a lot of emotions. Chaos, what happens now? And anger. A lot of anger on my part towards Marius.

Marius Borg Høiby is 29 years old and the son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway from a previous relationship with Morten Borg. Mette-Marit married Crown Prince Haakon in 2001.

The "Bonus Prince" is charged with 38 crimes, including assaulting a former girlfriend and four counts of rape. According to prosecutors, they occurred while the victims were asleep.

Høiby has admitted to certain crimes, but denied the rape allegations.

The trial began at Oslo District Court on February 3 and is expected to last at least six weeks. Høiby faces up to 16 years in prison.
