Each their major loss was the drop. Only hours after each other, father and son were fired from their respective clubs in the Greek top division in football.

Sunday, October 5, was a dark day for the Petrakis family. First, Giorgos Petrakis, 37, was fired from his coaching position for the former Greek champion team Larissa. The day before, the team had lost 2–5 at home to local competitor Volos.

Just hours later, his father Giannis Petrakis, 66, suffered the same fate. He was kicked out as coach for Panetolikos from Agrinio after an away loss of 0–6 against Levadiakos on Sunday.

Larissa became Greek champion in 1988 and is currently twelfth after six played matches. A position below is Panetolikos, which is the second to last in the top league.
