According to the indictment, the animals were not given enough food or water and were dirty, thin and wounded. The neglect led to the deaths of several animals and the euthanasia of eight others.
The neglect is alleged to have taken place between November 2025 and February 2026. The farmer was based in Kronoberg County, while the other accused person was connected to the farm. The accused deny any wrongdoing.
Because the neglect affected many animals and lasted for a long time, the prosecutor believes the crime should be considered serious.
