When the national team squad was presented for this summer's football championship, Gudmundsson had missed two straight Premier League matches.

It was in the FA Cup semi-final on April 26 that the Leeds player injured the back of his thigh.

Ahead of the final round of the Premier League on Sunday, Daniel Farke announced that the Swede is not yet back in training, reports local newspaper Leeds Live.

When the squad was presented, Gudmundsson told Hallandsposten that he could not comment on the injury.

I was a little behind, but I have had a good dialogue with the national team management and will be fully ready when the World Cup squad gathers on May 27.

He told Hallandsposten.

The Swedish World Cup squad will gather in Stockholm on Wednesday. The opening match will be played against Tunisia on June 15.
