Färjestad has hit top form when it's needed most. At the end of the regular season, they won six of their last seven games, and in the playoffs the wins have continued in the quarter-final series against Rögle.
After a huge turnaround away from home last time out (from 0–5 to 6–5), Färjestad had the chance to show off in front of an enthusiastic home crowd. They took it.
Oskar Steen opened the scoring on the power play before Czech star David Tomasek extended the lead a few minutes later.
The match finished 2–0, with Färjestad controlling the game.
Färjestad can secure a place in the semifinals at home as early as Monday, when the teams meet in the fourth match of the best-of-seven series.
