Despite the late hour, the fans were ecstatic when Alexander Isak passed the ball to Mattias Svanberg in the 84th minute; Svanberg scored Sweden's fifth goal.

And even though the fans at Trädgården were sure of Sweden's win, perhaps no one believed in a landslide victory.

I think we'll win 2-0. We'll keep a clean sheet and then we'll score another, Jesper Sahlin guessed at the start of the match.

He went to bed at 10pm on Sunday but then drove into Trädgården just after 1am to watch the game even though he had a day of work ahead of him.

It feels good! It's an important match, so it's worth it, he told TT's correspondent.

Also awake before the match were friends Julia Wheeler and Tindra Dahlstedt, who were there to watch the victory at Trädgården.

We took it easy and drank coffee. Lots of coffee! And a little nap, Julia and Tindra told TT.

We've been awake the whole time, but we'll be off today.

Both were completely confident of a Swedish victory.

It will go well. Things are looking bright for Sweden and we are hoping for 3-0.
