"We are aware that a number of AI-generated videos and posts have been circulating that contain false and misleading information about the circumstances surrounding his passing, his medical history, and who was present," the family wrote on the star's Instagram.
Among other things, AI-generated videos have been circulated purporting to be from the funeral, where stars such as Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jackie Chan, Bruce Willis and Mel Gibson are said to be gathered around the coffin.
"We kindly ask you not to believe or share any information that does not come directly from the family," they wrote in the post.
