Tuesday's trading was marked by significant declines on the major stock exchanges in Asia. In Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 fell by more than 3 percent.

The indices in Asia are recovering from Monday's falling stock markets in the US, where several heavy technology companies fell.

The Tokyo Stock Exchange had a really tough Tuesday, and the Nikkei 225 was down 3.2 percent in the afternoon. Among other things, the technology-heavy investment company Softbank continues to fall, falling to minus 7.1 percent.

China's stock markets are not doing well on Tuesday either. Both Shenzhen and Shanghai have fluctuated significantly below zero during the day, and were down 0.4 and 0.6 percent respectively after lunch. The Hong Kong-based Hang Seng is down 1.5 percent.

At the same time, the South Korean Kospi fell 3.3 percent.

The Chinese government advised its citizens against traveling to Japan in the near future over the weekend, after Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi made statements about Taiwan. The stock market fell on Monday in the wake of the tensions between the countries.
